Seipasa, a company specialized in developing natural solutions for zero residues agriculture, is working in close collaboration with the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) to develop a new natural biopesticide. Seipasa’s R&D director, Francisco Espinosa, has traveled to Delhi, India, to meet with representatives of the country's most important Indian agricultural research and educational organization. Espinosa has analyzed the progress of the project with Dr. Virendra Rana, a specialist in chemical analysis of botanical extracts, and Dr. Najam Shakil, a specialist in the development of biopesticides.

The objective of the visit is to coordinate the execution of the necessary tests for the production of this new product for the natural protection of crops against pests. Seipasa and IARI aim to develop a safe and effective alternative to chemical pesticides, being also respectful with the environment, human health and ancillary fauna.

The collaboration between Seipasa and IARI is part of the Innoglobal project from the spanish Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (CDTI), supported by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. Seipasa is one of 50 Spanish companies funded by this program, aiming to strengthen collaboration and knowledge transfer between Spanish companies and international partners.

In addition to the full planning of this project, Seipasa is also responsible for developing the formulation and conducting the efficacy tests. The IARI provides its deep knowledg of raw materials and the development of the analysis methodology for each of the extracts. The duration of the project is between 12 and 36 months.
