REPELLENTS
SEIPASA´s repellent product range has a great versatility as these products can be used under many different circumstances. They affect both, arthropods and mammals having the following effects on pests:- Egg laying reduction of arthropod pests by disguising the odour signals emitted by crops and mating pheromones. This slows down and minimises the infestation of many flying pests such as aphids, whiteflys, thrips, beetles and moths without affecting beneficial insect populations.
- Disruption of phytophagous pests’ food ingestion, by the induction of a powerful direct repellent effect.
- When applied to infested crops they act as mobilisers. The insects emerge from their hiding places, facilitating their control with contact insecticides.
- Extraordinary direct repellent action against various species of mammals such as wild boar, deer and rabbits, greatly reducing the damage caused by these vertebrates.
- Prevention from seed formation in citrus crops. Foliar applications during flowering repel pollinating insects.
